“"Bellizia's style of punk grass is different... and different is good." ” - Martin Atkins
— of Tour Smart, NIN, Pigface, and P.I.L.
The banjo-based power trio, known as Bellizia, creates intense and incomparable music for those that bypass the top 40 for the bottom dirty.
With a voice like a constipated crow, Jhon wrestles the crazy out of the electric banjo. Tim Todd lays down a foundation of heavily syncopated drumming laced with metal-influenced double bass flourishes. Jayson’s bass is the glue that holds it all together with locked in grooves and melodic forays.
The lyrical content is filled with word play and runs the gamut from silly to sincere, insightful to inciteful.
Bellizia is not rooted in a specific genre but traces of bluegrass, metal, rock, punk, blues, and jazz all show up in the music. The result challenges classification, yet appeals to a wide range of listeners.
