Bellizia is a punkgrass, clown car,  jugernaut.  

They are a power trio led by the electric banjo of Jhon Bellizia (aka Sir Jhon), propelled by the heavy metal, double kick drumming of Timothy Todd Cook, and bedazzled by the prog-rock wizardry of bassist Jayson Tomlin.

Bellizia is shattering expectations with a sound that is as innovative as it is captivating. The band is built around the distinctive songwriting of Jhon Bellizia and his revolutionary use of the electric banjo.  Somehow, the music remains magically riveting and highly entertaining while simultaneously pushing boundaries. 

Jhon’s banjo playing forges a unique sonic space that creates a meeting point between Earl Scruggs and Jimi Hendrix. Building depth into the band's sound is bassist Jayson Tomlin, whose melodic, prog-rock-inspired bass lines provide both power and sophistication. Drummer Timothy Todd Cook completes the trio with thunderous double-kick rhythms and a heavy-metal edge, producing a dynamic foundation that drives the music forward. Atypical vocal harmonies add the icing on this “oh so sweet” cake.  The resulting sound defies categorization while the alluring accessibility prevails, winning over audiences at every show.
